Shrimps remain the most desired crop in Philippine aquaculture despite the many technical challenges in its cultivation. Aside from providing good economic returns, shrimps have always been a prized gourmet food for Filipinos, and its cultivation ¾ an age old tradition ¾ is regarded as an art that has brought pride to farmers throughout the generations. It does not come as a surprise that the Philippine shrimp industry has remained resilient through the decades.
The 3-day biannual conference and trade exhibition is estimated to draw no less than 500 industry leaders and practitioners engaged in grow-out farming, hatchery operation, feed milling, processing/exporting, and input supplies.
